Monica Moriyasu, Artist

So many artists have influenced and been inspirational in the development of my chosen art form.

Alan Waters, ‘Watercolorist Extraordinaire’ sent kind words and much encouragement from deepest Otago, NZ
He says…
“Your sense of colour and composition shows a deep understanding of all the components necessary for creating a superb image. The flower ones are gorgeous, but as you know, I tend to lean towards the introduction of another element, so the whimsy of the sunglasses and gloves shows an inventiveness rare these days - certainly in photography anyway. Your boat in dry dock was remarkable for your powers of observation and grasp of the essentials of colour values and arranging.”
And…
“There is no question that you do possess a remarkable gift of perception: in perceiving and selecting the image you 'know' exists in something you see. …the close up's of the front end of the peacock in particular made me wish I had discovered it!”
